Levin Associates, manufacturer of Pier-Port, warrants all Pier-Port products purchased new by the original owner to be free from defects for a period of one (1) year from the date of original delivery. Levin Associates will, at its option, repair or replace with new or similar reconditioned parts, without charge, or allow credit for any such products found by Levin Associates to be defective under normal use and service, provided Levin Associates is notified in writing within 30 days of discovery by original owner of such defects, and either receives such damaged components returned, or is allowed reasonable on-site access or photographic evidence to assess such claim.
The owner’s remedies with respect to any defective goods shall be exclusively limited as herein provided and in no event shall Levin Associates be liable for any incidental or consequential damages of any nature. All repair work must be done by Levin Associates or a registered Pier-Port dealer. Attempts to repair or replace parts without the express written authorization of Levin Associates, or with unauthorized methodology may void this warranty. This warranty is for materials and delivery costs only, and does not cover labor to erect, reinstall, or otherwise assemble such product at owner’s location, unless originally installed by the manufacturer or authorized dealer.
Each Pier-Port product is constructed in the USA of galvanized steel framing, stainless set screws and weld nuts, 18 oz. UV protected vinyl, and 10 oz. vinyl mesh. If a product is connected to a pier that remains in the water during freezing weather, the steel structure may remain connected to the pier all year long. The Pier-Port canopy systems have been storm tested through strong wind gusts, but the canopy cover should be removed prior to any anticipated snowfall or extraordinary weather. Mono-Port canopy system warranty is valid only if the safety straps are properly used, as described on the instruction manual. The Purchaser should periodically touch up all exposed metal with galvanizing protectant to minimize corrosion, and coat fabrics annually with vinyl protectant. Purchaser shall be responsible for procuring any permits or registrations, if necessary, from state and local agencies, lake associations, or other governing entities.
This warranty does not cover damage caused by improper use, installation, or maintenance; overloading, pier failure, improper watercraft mooring, accidents, neglect, misuse, negligence, harmful alterations or repairs made by others, snow/ice damage, severe weather conditions, and Acts of God. This Limited Warranty is exclusive, and replaces all other warranties, express or implied.
