Plug-Port Complete, stand-alone system for piers, sheds, or cabins. For lighting, lifts, power tools, weed trimmers, chargers, and more. Batteries cannot be shipped. System uses standard Deep-Cycle batteries, available locally at Walmart, Home Depot, Farm-Fleet, and other retailers. For the standard Plug-Port, all 24, 27, 30, or 31 group Deep-Cycle batteries will provide 75 to 105 amp-hours. Plug-Port system will hold two 24 or 27 batteries, or a single 30 or 31 battery. Battery prices begin around $80.
This system qualifies for the Energy Tax Credit provided by the IRS. For the year 2023, the IRS grants a 30% tax credit (not deduction, but actual credit) for the purchase of a qualified residential solar energy system.
For example, if your total purchase cost for a system (including batteries) is $2,000, the IRS will grant a (30%) $600 tax credit, effectively lowering your system cost to $1,400. See IRS Form 5695 for specifics.
